Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Lastwell app ("Lastwell", "the app") handles information. Lastwell is made by Paksys Software LLC, North Brunswick, New Jersey, USA ("we", "us").

Your plans stay on your device

Everything you enter (ages, savings, income, spending, returns and your saved plans) and your settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. Your device's built-in encryption protects that storage. Lastwell does all of its calculations on your device. We have no servers that receive or store your plans, and we can't see them.

If you turn on the app lock, your device handles Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint or passcode checks. Lastwell only learns whether the check succeeded and never receives your biometric data.

Things you choose to share

Lastwell sends information off your device only when you ask it to:

• Backups (.lastwell files) are encrypted on your device with a passphrase you choose before you save or send them. We never see your passphrase and can't recover it.
• PDF reports and CSV tables contain your plan's figures. They go wherever you send them through your device's share sheet.
• Freedom Cards are images you can share. By default they hide all amounts.

Once you share a file, the app or person you send it to handles it under their own terms.

Purchases

Lastwell Pro is sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple or Google processes your payment, and we never receive your name, email, card or billing details from them.

We use RevenueCat, a service provider, to verify purchases and keep track of whether you have Pro. For this, the app sends RevenueCat:

• a random ID created by the app, which isn't linked to your name or contact details;
• purchase and subscription details from the store, such as the product, purchase and expiry dates, and the transaction ID;
• basic technical details that come with any internet request, such as your IP address, device model, operating system and app version, and your store country.

RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf to provide that service. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies cover what they collect when you make a purchase.

What we don't do

• We don't use advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.
• We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Keeping and deleting information

You can delete your plans at any time with Settings → Start over, or by deleting the app, which removes everything it stored on your device. Backups you saved elsewhere stay where you put them.

Purchase records are kept by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide Pro and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. To ask us to delete the purchase records RevenueCat holds for you, email us (see below). Because we don't know who you are, we may ask for a store receipt or order number to find them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, the UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal information about you. Since your plans never leave your device, you already control them fully. For anything we or our service providers hold, email us and we'll respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Our service providers may process information in the United States.

Children

Lastwell is meant for adults planning their finances. It isn't directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll also give notice where the law requires it.
